The present study analyzed the synergy between SAR Sythetic Aperture Radar and Landsat 7 ETM+ data for land use planning and ocupation. Individual and composit bands of both sensors were analysed and the results were evaluated both qualitatively and quantitativly. Results indicated that the SAR data were effective in the discrimination of several cover types, especially XL, LHH e LHV polarizations and Landsat TM data or well.
